Event Recap:
Most importantly, this event gave us the motivation to buy the
state-of-the-art timing systems. Our new JACircuits timing system will be implemented
for our 7/16 event. The new system includes laser based timing heads and a
computer interface. Working the scoring system should be easier then ever
since times will not have to be manual entered.
For the first time we implemented a pre-registration on the internet. It worked very well with 30 people taking advantage of that option. A week before the event the pre-registration form was made available to Internet surfers. When they arrived at the autocross site, a pre-printed registration card was waiting with their name, car number and class. All the driver needed to do was sign the card, the waiver, and pay for the event. Our target for the 7/16 event is 50% of the entries to be pre-registered. So make it easy for you and us, pre-register for the next event.
